Re: Pheasant hunters
well...i have dropped of few but would love to do the real thing vs pen birds for a training exercise. i know a guy that goes to upstate ny somewhere and cant stop talking about all the "REAL" bird hunting like wild pheasant and the one i would really like to try......grouse. the pheasants we put up loved running on the ground as long as they had cover. if i had more time and money i would definitely consider a trip to the dakotas or minnesota for ringnecks.

Re: Pheasant hunters
Watch Em definitely has a GREAT point (and a hidden gold mind for pheasants). Watch Em and I have been to Kansas three times in the last 2 years to hunt coyotes. We have been there in January 09, October 09 and Oct/Nov 2010 and have seen PILES of pheasants. I won't say exactly where we were...but I don't think it matters. Kansas is full of Walk In Hunting Areas (WIHA) that are open for public hunting..(don't need to ask permission). The cost to hunt them is $75 for a small game license and you can get motels out there for like $250/week... I'm confident you could go out there for $500-700 for a whole week.
